Lift

The best thing about something lasting one minute only is that it's tough to be bored. Lift managed to bore me. I could tell you what (little) happens, but it would take amost as long to read as to watch, and I don't want to spoil what (little) fun it may provide. All I'll say is that it involves four men, a mobile phone, a special effect and the lift of the title. The gag comes about 20 seconds in and continues for what seems like hours. And it's not even a very good gag.
There's not a lot you can do in terms of breaking the boundaries of cinematic style when you're dealing with a minute spent in a lift, and that's exactly what's done here - not a lot. It's static stuff. Lift has the air of having been produced by film students with an extra bit of celluloid to fill and I can't see it being elevated to cult status.
